Qualification summary

The VTCT (Skillsfirst) Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading (RQF) has been designed for those who have responsibility for the work of others as a team leader. It is suitable if you are entering a management role, or if you have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example, providing leadership for a team, encouraging innovation, allocating and checking work. This qualification recognises the skills and competencies in the workplace and provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for a career in management and leadership. The units encompass a broad range of competencies from the management and leadership sector.

This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of previous learning. There is no minimum age requirement for this qualification.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress onto the:

•  Level 3 Diploma in Team Management (RQF)
•  Level 3 Diploma in Management (RQF)

Qualification structure

A minimum total of 40 credits must be achieved to gain the qualification as follows:

All 22 credits must be achieved from the mandatory Group M.

A minimum of 12 credits must be achieved from Group A

A maximum of 6 credits can only be achieved from Group B

Guided Learning Hours (GLH) are 201

Total Qualification Time (TQT) is 400
