Qualification summary

The profile you have on a social media site such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram can easily help, or hinder, your ability to find employment.

This qualification gives you the basic knowledge required to create a positive social media profile. This will be vital in a world where employers increasingly use social media when recruiting new staff.

A background in social media is not required to achieve this qualification, which will give you an understanding of:

• how social media applications are used to create an online profile
• the risks of promoting an online profile through social media
• the use of social media to identify work opportunities
• how to communicate with employers using social media

Achievement of this qualification can assist you in gaining employment in the sector of your choice.

This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of prior learning. This qualification is not approved for learners under the age of 16.
