We have worked with Skillsfirst as an End-point Assessment Provider and the customer service received had been great, following this we then decided to become a training centre with Skillsfirst. Skillsfirst have always been really helpful and supportive in aligning our needs with qualifications they offer for both commercial and funded qualifications. We have recently also needed to gain guidance for a new apprenticeship standard in Early Years which Skillsfirst went above and beyond to ensure we gained all the information we needed for an employer, we will continue to use their service for both qualifications and end-point assessment.

New EPA standards

We are delighted to announce that Skillsfirst Assess has recently been approved by ESFA to provide End-point Assessment (EPA) for the following standards: L3 Customer Service Specialist L3 Procurement and Supply Assistant L4 Commercial Procurement and Supply L5 Early Years Lead Practitioner As with all of the standards for which we are approved, we will be providing free toolkits and expert surgery sessions for providers, helping ensure apprentices have the opportunity to achieve their best possible EPA outcome. Conferderation of Education Consultants (CEC) Webinars

We are excited to announce that we are launching a series of informative webinars, delivered in collaboration with the Confederation of Education Consultants (CEC).   These will be free to attend and will feature topics that we hope will be of value to our customers. The first webinar will focus on the RoATP refresh and will be delivered by Tony Allen MCIPD MCMI from AAS Ltd. During his time in the FE Sector, Tony has managed college mergers (and demergers), government contracts held with large private training providers, as well as being responsible for employer based training pilots and ESF funding.   He now supports providers, colleges and employers in all aspects of their apprenticeship and skills programmes. New Exam Platform for Legacy Functional Skills

Skillsfirst are no longer using the SecureAssess or SecureClient platforms for the scheduling, or taking of Functional Skills exams.   All Functional Skills exams (legacy and reformed) should be scheduled and taken within the XAMS platform.   For those centres already using XAMS for Reformed Functional Skills exams, your current logins allow you to schedule legacy Functional Skills and ICT automatically.   Those centres who have not yet used XAMS will need to submit user requests for centre staff, pllease contact exams@skillsfirst.co.uk. If you deliver Functional Skills through one of our awarding organisation (AO) partners, please speak to them as they will create your user account.
