I have previously held a variety of senior clinical and non-clinical roles in both the statutory and non-statutory sectors, and I have a particular specialism in the therapeutic management of adults, children and young people who present a range of complex behaviours that challenge. In 2000 I worked for a short time in Austria helping the German Government to set up an Assistive Technology service for people with learning disabilities.
In 2001 I was awarded a Medal of Excellence for outstanding services to external verification and quality assurance monitoring, and I have a wealth of experience in both assessment, internal verification and external verification.
I worked at a strategic level within Skillsfirst Awards as the sector expert in Health, Health and Social Care, Children and Young People and Teaching and Learning prior to moving to Skillsfirst Assess in April 2017 to head up the End-Point Assessment side of the Health, Health and Social Care, Children and Young People apprenticeship standards.
On a personal level I am an avid collector of Murano Vintage Glass and love a good mooch through my local antique market and shops! I also love the theatre and have many trips to London’s West End.
