Level 2 Award in Mentoring a Trainee in the Workplace (QCF)
This qualification has been designed to develop the learner's knowledge, understanding and skills to become a workplace mentor for those undertaking the Traineeship Programme. The workplace mentor will undertake induction training which is relevant to the organisation, regular monitoring of the progress and performance of the trainee and provide feedback to continually motivate the trainee to meet the organisation's expectations of behaviour, attitude and performance. They will also be contributing to the improvement of the Traineeship Programme through their own and the trainee's workplace experiences.
Learners achieving this qualification could progress onto further direct learning support qualifications or onto qualifications within Education and Training.
